Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here to check out the latest progress on my powder room makeover. If this is your first time here and you’d like to get caught up, I have the links at the end of this post.
I’ve got my two big projects for the bathroom makeover crossed off my list, so I thought I’d share some of the little details that I’m working on with you. Some of this is already done, but there are a few small things that I haven’t figured out and there is almost no time left.

Lighting
I’m very excited to partner with Lamps Plus on my powder room makeover! Our old light fixture wasn’t quite bright enough for the room and looked a little dated. They have so many great fixtures to choose from that it was a difficult decision. Here are a few of my front runners.
Ultimately, I chose the Olsen fixture. I really like that it has a slightly industrial look without being over the top. That makes it a little easier to blend styles. I also love the unique shape of the glass shades. We’ve just put it up and it looks beautiful! I can’t wait to show it to you next week!
Faucets
As you can see, my faucet style choices were a little all over the place. I was having a hard time trying to decide if I wanted it to be a little more contemporary or not.
Shelves
I’m putting shelves up above the toilet so that I can have a few more decorative things in this tiny room. I am making the shelf itself, so I just need the brackets that will hold the shelf up.
Artwork
Artwork is where I’m really struggling in this makeover. I’d like to find something abstract with a lot of white, a little bit of black or dark gray, and a pop of color. Here are a few of my contenders, but I will be continuing to look over the next couple of days. As of right now, I still don’t have anything picked out, so I’m a little stressed about this!
Why is it that the last 5% of any project are the hardest? I only have a few things left in this room, but the little things are the stuff that I’m the least sure about. I can’t wait to show you how it all turns out next week. If you’d like to see how far this room has come you can check out the previous weeks below.

Now you’re doing the fun stuff! Not that you asked, but I like the last two paintings the best…really leaning most towards that last one. Think it is really different and very striking and with those black walls…oh my.
Love the light fixture you chose and can’t wait to see the final result.
Have fun my friend.
Hugs, Lynn
