This fall decor home tour is so cozy and comfortable! You’ll want to grab yourself a cup of coffee or tea and stay awhile!
Well hello, there! I’m super excited to show you around the rest of our home for Part II of our fall tour! Last week, I shared our foyer, living room, and family room for Part I. This week, I’m teaming up with a group of almost 30 bloggers that are opening their homes to show their fall decor. If you are coming from Polka Dot Poplars, I’m so happy you were able to stop by. If you’re new here, please take a moment to read a little about me, and make sure to check the list at the end of this post for the full list of participants.
We have done a crazy amount of work to the front of our house this year, so I thought I’d start there. When we moved into our home a couple of years ago, the front of the house was completely lined with beautiful rhododendrons, but they had grown taller than the first floor of our home! We couldn’t see out of our windows and our home felt very closed off. So, we jumped into the most physical makeover we’ve done yet! We pulled out all of those huge shrubs and planted all new landscaping ourselves. It was an exhausting project and there’s a much bigger story for another day, but I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out!
This spring, I shared how I used a floral bucket to make an arrangement to hang on our front door. The floral bucket works great because I can’t hang wreaths on the door due to the arch at the top of the door as well as the offset window. For the fall, I added a floral arrangement that includes berries, hydrangea, cotton bolls, and a few other fall flowers.
I’m still loving the “Happy Fall, Y’all!” sign from last year. The gray and copper color mixture is sprinkled all over the house this fall.
We have a local garden center that has the most amazing seasonal plants. This season’s planters are probably my favorite that I’ve ever put together! I used some ornamental chili peppers, purple fountain grass, flowering kale, magenta mums, and multi-color coleus.
It’s a really dreary day here in New England, so let’s head into the kitchen…
You guys are getting a sneak peek of my kitchen makeover, so I’m really excited to show it to you! I just finished painting this section of cabinets two days ago, and we just finished hanging the doors and drawers last night! There’s still a lot of work to do, and you’ll notice I’m painting in sections, so you may notice some areas I haven’t gotten to yet.
Of course, our pup could not be bothered to move from his favorite spot for these pictures!
Every year since we moved to New England we take the boys apple picking, and it’s one of my favorite things to do. We are up to our ears in apples right now, so I love setting them out in a fruit bowl as a reminder to eat some!
This “thankful” box is by far my favorite new fall addition! I love that it holds my utensils, a spoon rest, a cutting board, and my pepper mill. It makes it so much easier to find the things that I’m reaching for all the time!
Let’s head on through the kitchen door and into the dining room for our last stop…
I am using a plaid tablecloth folded as a runner on the dining room table. I just love how cozy the plaid makes the room feel!
I like to keep the dining room fairly simple with accent pieces that are easy to move when we are entertaining guests for dinner.
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look around! I hope you enjoyed getting to see our home decked out for fall! If you haven’t already, don’t forget to check out our fall decor in the foyer, living room, and family room.

I love the architecture of your new home and the landscaping that you installed looks amazing. I swooned when I saw your pretty kitchen and so much enjoyed looking at the fall touches that you’ve added to your home. Using a metal floral bucket on the front door is a great idea and I just may have to do that myself at our home.
I’m really enjoying the tour this week!

You know that I am so jealous of everything about your home…the exterior and that kitchen! Well…just everything really. And your fall planter is just lovely, the colors are incredible and I don’t doubt that you love it as well.
Thanks for sharing more sneaks of your home.
Hugs, Lynn

Lynn, you need to come on up and see it in person! We’ll go antiquing, and it will be a blast! Thanks for checking it out, my friend!

Your fall touches are beautiful, but your house is spectacular. What a beautiful backdrop to your decor elements. No wonder your blog is titled a home to grow old in, I would never be able to leave this dreamy environment either. Everything is beautiful.
Robin says
Thanks, Leanna! I could do absolutely nothing to decorate our home, and it would be beautiful. That’s the great thing about older homes is that they have so much character. I’m so glad you stopped by to check it out!

Your home is gorgeous! That leaded glass is amazing! And that stove! So cool!

I love all of your fall decor! Your landscaping looks so good….that is a project I want to tackle maybe next year because we have a bunch of random bushes that makes no sense! I can’t wait to see your kitchen too!
